HVAC Marketing Plan Template: What You Type
An HVAC marketing plan template is the one-page plan the owner fills before the season starts. You type the goals, the service area, the customers, the offers, the budget, the calendar, and the KPIs. This sheet does not print a spend.
Built by SubcontractorHub — the software HVAC contractors use to quote, finance, and run every job.

Owners searching for an HVAC marketing plan want a blank they can copy, print, or download. The only math is a count of lines that have text, plus a count of channels you checked. Money stays whatever you typed, including blank.

How an HVAC Marketing Plan Stays Off the Channel Guide
This sheet is the plan you fill. The channel guide is how each channel works. They are not the same page. A public search on the day this page was written returned one-page fill-in plans, including a contractor outline that names goals, service area, channels, a calendar, and numbers the owner writes. Those outlines named the boxes. They did not become a budget on this sheet.
Quick Answer
An HVAC marketing plan template is a blank the owner fills: goals, service area, customers, offers, channels, a budget the owner types, a seasonal calendar, and KPIs the owner types. Checking a channel does not assign a dollar. The count of filled lines is not a return.
| Page | What it holds | What it does not hold |
|---|---|---|
| This sheet | Goals, area, offers, channels, a budget you type, a calendar, and KPIs you type | A percent of revenue or a sample return |
| HVAC marketing guide | How the channels work | The blank you review each month |
| SEO for HVAC contractors | The website and the Google Business Profile | Ads, email, referrals, and the rest of the mix |
| HVAC business plan template | The company plan | This seasonal marketing sheet by itself |
Channel how-tos stay on the HVAC marketing guide. The site and the profile stay on SEO for HVAC contractors. The company plan is the HVAC business plan template. Lead sources that sit next to a plan are how to get HVAC leads. If you already have spend and revenue you are willing to type, the marketing ROI calculator uses those inputs. This sheet does not fill them in for you.
What the Sheet Has to Name
Six labels cover the channels an owner actually runs. A check means you intend to use it. It does not mean a platform has approved an ad, and it does not mean a town is inside your drive time.
- Google Business Profile. Who updates the profile, and how often, is a line you type. This sheet does not request a local rank.
- Local SEO. The pages and the towns belong on the SEO guide. Here you only say whether the site is part of this plan.
- LSA or PPC. If you buy clicks, type the budget yourself. An empty box is allowed.
- Referrals. Write who asks past customers, and what you ask. Do not leave a program you do not run.
- Email. Name the list you already have permission to mail. This page does not invent a list size.
- Seasonal pushes. Heating season and cooling season are labels. The months and the offer go in the calendar box you write.
Maintenance agreements belong in the offers box when you sell them. How the visit is sold is how to sell HVAC maintenance agreements. The agreement itself is a different blank, the HVAC service agreement template. This plan does not print a membership price.
How Do You Fill an HVAC Marketing Plan?
Seven steps keep the plan from borrowing a budget this page did not type, and from turning a channel label into a promise about next month's calls.
- Write the goals in your words. Name the job types you want more of only if the crew can do them.
- Write the service area you already cover. Do not add a county because a map looks larger.
- Name the customers. Replacement, service, maintenance, and commercial are examples of labels, not four required segments.
- Write the offer, including a maintenance agreement only if you sell one. Leave the price off this sheet.
- Check only the channels you will staff. A checked box with no owner is not a plan.
- Type a budget only if you are ready to spend it. Leave the box blank if you are not. The count of filled lines is not a media buy.
- Type the calendar, the KPIs you already track, the person who owns the plan, and the date you will reread it.
After a lead exists, the proposal is a different page: how to write an HVAC proposal. The job in the system of record stays on SubcontractorHub for HVAC. SubcontractorHub is an all-in-one sales and project management platform for solar, roofing, and HVAC contractors. It does not set a marketing budget.
A business plan that covers the whole company is not this sheet. Use the business plan template when the question is the company. Use this sheet when the question is what you will say, where, and with what money you typed, between now and the review date.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an HVAC marketing plan template?
An HVAC marketing plan template is a blank the owner fills: goals, service area, target customers, offers including maintenance agreements, channels, a budget the owner types, a seasonal calendar, and KPIs the owner types. This sheet does not print a percent of revenue or a sample return.
Does this sheet print a budget?
No. The budget box starts empty. Checking Google Business Profile, local SEO, LSA or PPC, referrals, email, or a seasonal push does not assign a dollar amount. Any number on the downloaded sheet is one you typed.
How is this sheet different from the marketing guide?
The marketing guide explains channels. This sheet is where you write your own goals, area, offers, calendar, and numbers. The SEO guide covers the website and the Google Business Profile only. The business plan template is the company plan, not this calendar.
What channels can I check on this sheet?
Google Business Profile, local SEO, LSA or PPC, referrals, email, and seasonal pushes. A check is a label. It is not a media buy and it is not a rank.
Where do maintenance agreements sit on this sheet?
They sit in the offers box you type. This page does not print a membership price. How a shop sells agreements is a different guide. This sheet only keeps the offer next to the goals you wrote.
Keep the Plan Next to the Leads
The goals you typed, the channels you checked, and the budget you typed belong where the jobs are tracked.
